Charges for Services
 

MAST charges the following for its services: 

            Emergency Call                        $795 w/in service area
            Emergency Call                        $815 outside primary service area
            Specialty Team Transport          $900
            Non-Emergency call                  $450 w/in service area
            Non-Emergency call                  $465 outside primary service area
            Treatment/No transport             $175
            Mileage per loaded mile             $10 

If your emergency transport is covered by Medicare, and is deemed by Medicare to be medically necessary, Medicare will allow $368.75 for the call.  Medicare will pay 80% or $295.00 and your co-insurance will be $73.75.  A non-emergency transport, if deemed medically necessary, is allowed $ $194.08 of which $155.26 is paid by Medicare and $38.82 paid by the patient.  

Other third-party insurance coverage is based on your individual or group policy.  Please refer to your handbook or contact the carrier. 

If you have Medicaid coverage only, your transport must meet the criteria Medicaid has established for ambulance transports in order for us to file a claim on your behalf.  That fact that you are eligible for Medicaid does not guarantee that Medicaid will pay for your transport.  If you have any questions regarding Medicaid's criteria, please refer to your Medicaid Handbook or call Medicaid at 1.800.392.0938 or 1.573.751.2896.
