CENTER FOR EMS EDUCATION

The Center for EMS Education is responsible for supporting the mission of MAST through the education and training of EMS field personnel. This includes ongoing education to meet National Registry and state licensure requirements, specialty courses such as CPR, ACLS, ITLS, and PALS, and regular training in support of clinical upgrades and quality improvement initiatives.

The Center is a provider of EMS education to the community as well, including EMT and Paramedic education courses, continuing medical education, and specialty classes. MAST’s ongoing initiative to train high school students in Continuous Chest Compression CPR is coordinated through this department. The MAST Center for EMS Education is an American Heart Association Community Training Center.

The Center for EMS Education provides classes in CPR, ACLS, and EMS continuing medical education to sites around the Kansas City Metro area, including schools, businesses, and medical facilities and offices. Classes are available by calling the Center at 816-300-8802.
