Field Operations

The MAST Field Operations is made up of over 250 dedicated EMTs and Paramedics that respond to both emergent and non-emergent needs of our community. 

MAST currently has 103 shifts.  Each shift is staffed with an EMT and a Paramedic.  97 shifts work a standard 42-hour work week comprised of 8.5, 10.5, or 12 hours shifts.  There are 6 24-hour shifts that work a 49.5 hour week. 

Schedules are determined based upon dynamic deployment that is able to forecast when resources will be needed.  Through the use of dynamic deployment, daily after action reviews, and the hard work of our team we have delivered 33 consecutive months of response time compliance for life-threatening emergencies.
