Quality Improvement

Much of MAST's clinical practices are byproducts of the findings from our Quality Improvement (QI) Department. We use concurrent methods of evaluation such as direct observation of crews on scenes with written feedback to the crews. We also utilize retrospective evaluations whereby we review run reports to evaluate the clinical care provided. Our QI department is heavily engaged with our Medical Director, Dr. Joseph Salomone. Partnering together, MAST and Dr. Salomone ensure that we are on the cutting edge of clinical sophistication by conducting periodic reviews of the system and conducting EMS research that is published in medical journals.
